Our first-ever tassel necklaces!
I’m kind of embarrassed to admit that I didn’t know what a tassel necklace looked like until a few months ago.
It wasn’t until a meeting with a client in Philadelphia that I heard the term for the first time, as she explained to me the general characteristics of tassel necklaces. I left that coffee shop slightly shocked that I hadn’t bothered to research this type of necklace before, and the whole universe of beautiful tassel necklaces that exists out there!
When it was time to go back to my studio and design a verudesigns version of a tassel necklace, I really had to go outside of my comfort zone: I had to somehow keep it simple, but interesting, colorful, yet different from what is normally out there, and it had to have two equally beautiful sides (tassel necklaces flip from one side to the other while walking).
So these are my 3 very first designs. Please have a look and I would absolutely love it if you would share your feedback with me. This is new territory for me, so I’m trying to figure out what resonates, and what doesn’t with all of you before I begin designing a larger collection.
Have a look!
#1 – All Grey with a dash of pink and yellow.
#2 – Blue and purple.
#3 – Purple, lila and neon yellow.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite? I’d love to read your comments below 🙂
Stay well, stay happy, stay healthy, stay as the lovable, kind, positive and one-of-a-kind person that you are.
I’ll be in touch in 2 weeks!
They are all very pretty and Brenda had great feedback for you about #1. I like the 3rd one (purple and neon). It is nice and simple/clean lines and looks great. Also, it was so sweet and I have to say cute, of your Mom and Dad to jump in there and make replies to you also. Great support! You do beautiful work.
I love all three of them with respects to Design Concept and Colors…I also like the tassels but not necessarily the thread choice for the tassels…I would prefer a silk or rayon thread that flows softer…the type of thread often used on Oriental Ornamental Jewelry… My favorite is #1 but I would eliminate the tassel on the shorter segment…if it were a pin I would leave it as is…I think that at that length and the motion of wearing it…the shorter segment tassel wouldn’t consistently hang properly( a personal pet peeve of mine)…Also I hope that the length on all of the necklaces are adjustable…I generally love long necklaces except when it comes to ones with tassels I would wear these about 2″ shorter than shown. I would want the tassel tail to stop where the focal is positioned currently…hope my comments are constructive and what you need…That being said everything you make turns to gold IMHO…BIG FAN
Brenda – Your feedback is FANTASTIC!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! You touched on a few things that were so subtle to me, that I couldn’t point out what it was (eliminating the tassel in the shorter segment). All 3 have an adjustable length too, and I love the feedback about the alternative materials (silk or rayon). Didn’t even think of that! Thank you and I appreciate so much your support and that you’ve been enjoying our VeruDesigns world 🙂
Dear Veruschka, I really like all of your designs! They are full coloured and transmit great energy! I love them!!
Now, I think of those three, my favourite is #3 – Purple, lila and neon yellow. Beautiful combination of colour!
Maria – This is also my favorite 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to letting me know 🙂
I really love the blue and purple one – I prefer symmetry, myself. Love the concept.
Dear Hazel – I’m so happy to hear that! You know, after I finished #1, my sister was the one that told me that symmetry somehow mattered more for a tassel necklace. It is actually why and how I came up with this design. I’m so glad it resonates with you too 🙂 Also, thank you so much for taking a few minutes to share this with me.
#3 is the one that catches my eye the most and would be my choice if I were to wear one!!
Wow!! Thank you dad! 🙂
Veru…not sure I am into tassel necklaces (as I don’t think I knew proper terminology either) but when I see them on you…as in 2 pics..absolutely love them..jijiji That being said…really like the blue and purple…simple, cute, and stands out with color you wore in picture.
Happy Travels and happy tasseling!! -)
I’m sooo happy you like them Guisela! Thank you so much for taking the time 🙂
They are all beautiful but my favorite is the grey with a dash of pink and yellow.
Thank you so much mom!
