Not one, but two, yes 2 NEW necklaces are unveiled today!
It’s been a whirlwind for me these last 5 weeks, trying to balance my roles as a Design Engineer for my husband’s company and the growth of VeruDesigns (you know, things like sales, staying creative, production, running the business while keeping our bi-weekly newsletters worthy of your time!).
But all is well and somehow everything falls into place perfectly. And since it’s Tuesday, let’s get right into the FUN part.
Both of today’s necklaces are custom orders that are about to be shipped and delivered this week.
Demestik – Necklace
It’s no secret that I’m a color lover, so when I fell down the rabbit hole of Demestiks New York’s website, I knew I’d found my inspiration. This is VeruDesigns’ take on a lovely mix & match of colors and patterns inspired by the fabulous fabrics by Demestiks New York. I’m clearly in a Spring mindset!
Reuben Reuel is the Owner and Designer at Demestiks New York. His collections capture not only the unique authenticity of african fashion, but he has clearly a unique eye when it comes to mixing and matching contrasting colors and patterns in a way that feels perfectly balanced and alive.
What I love about jewelry is that, it doesn’t take over your whole body. Which is perfect for those of us who LOVE color, but are color-shy. You can keep it simple with your outfit, and let your necklace bring the real you out.
I’m always drawn to saturated hues. Be it blue, purple, yellow, green while balancing them off with a simple pastel tone, like a very light purple in this case.
And yet, no matter how colorful and strong the colors might be, in the right context of a simple outfit, it looks just right.
Mosh – Necklace
When looking for inspiration, New York and Milan Fashion Week have it all. I like to separate my favorite designers by those that I love to wear (JCrew, Victoria Beckham), and those whose designs might not be my cup of tea, but know how to combine color, patterns and texture like no-ones business. And this year, Moshino topped that list.
The Mosh Necklace was fully inspired by this magnificent dress revealed by Moshino last week during Milan’s Fashion Week.
However the color-palette came from this interior-design setup, which works with the same colors of the dress.
And voila! It brightens your look (and your spirit!), no matter what you’re wearing!
There is something about the boldness of red, blue and white together. It’s hard to explain. I wish the pictures would make justice to the details, but hopefully you’ll get the idea.

I just love your colourful necklaces! Superb simple design allows the colour to sing!
Great colours, great design! It is really very beautiful!
I hope i can see more of your creations. It’s inspiring me. I make polymer jewelry.
Thanks!
Really love the statement these necklaces make. I’m a color lover too and must be surrounded with color most of the time. I could never work in a place that is decorated in neutral colors. I guess that’s why I also create colorful things in my bright, colorful studio…..so I don’t have to work in a drab office 🙂
