Custom Orders – Behind the Scenes
Since I rarely get a chance to share our “custom” jewelry pieces (normally they are shipped to our clients before I get a chance to take any pictures), this time I made sure to document 3 of our most recent custom orders.
One thing you’ll notice is that when you make a custom order, the piece is not only made specifically for you, but you have as much or as little input as you’d like. Sometimes a client has a very specific idea of what she wants. Other times, her specifications are much more generic. In those cases I have the privilege of transforming a generic desire into a specific piece of Art.

PROJECT # 1: HAPPY DREAMS – Set of Necklace & Bracelet.
Client Specifications:
—> Inspiration Idea: For this project, my client provided images of two abstract paintings. She asked me to somehow incorporate the idea of these paintings into the design of her set.
—> Colors: Blue, white, black, and some yellow.
—> Adequacy: Perfectly adequate for day-time as well as night time social events.
Design Freedom: She gave me complete decision-making freedom in terms of the size and design/shapes of both the necklace and the bracelet.
….And here are the results…
The Inspiration: As you can easily see below, the pattern for the bracelet and the necklace, were very much based on the two paintings that my client provided as inspiration.
“How to wear it” – Ideas:
PROJECT #2: FUCCIA NOW – Set of Necklace and Bracelet.
Client Specifications:
—> Inspiration Idea: My client provided a drawing in pencil made by a child, that she wanted me to incorporate in the design somehow.
—> Colors: Hot Pink, black and white.
—> Adequacy: Perfectly adequate for day-time as well as night time social events.
Design Freedom: She gave me complete decision-making freedom in terms of the size and design/shapes of both the necklace and the bracelet.
….And here are the results…
The Inspiration: I used the drawing as the primary inspiration for designing the patterns for the beads in both the necklace and bracelet.
“How to wear it” – Ideas:
PROJECT # 3: ORANGE PUNCH – Bracelet.
Client Specifications:
—> Inspiration Idea: My client provided the image of a large dark orange flower as inspiration.
—> Colors: Orange.
—> Design/Shape: Colossal Bead design (large beads).
Design Freedom: She gave me complete freedom to include additional complementary colors that would be appropriate for fall.
Inspiration: I used the image of this flower as the primary inspiration for the whole bracelet.
“How to wear it” – Ideas.
