Beholden – Part 3 of our Bridal Edition
Today I’m writing from the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire here in the US.
What am I doing here?
Well, I’m working. But! I’m also….guess what?!?! I’m enjoying my second honeymoon!!! YAY!! 🙂
If you follow VeruDesigns on facebook, then you may know that last Thursday June 5th, Cliff (my amazing husband) and moi, got re-married in Washington DC.
That’s right. We got married again!
And the funny thing? It was all completely unexpected.
But somehow I feel that even though the details of why, where and how it happened were very sudden (no worries, I’ll tell you the whole story next time!); I believe those details were the Universe’s way of manifesting/responding to a prevalent bridal “mindset and feeling” I’ve been having while working on this jewelry collection for the last few months.
It wasn’t conscious of course. But I can now confess that as I began this collection and our marketing campaign, I felt as if I was the bride for whom these necklaces were being designed. Ridiculous, but true!
And like many brides, I began incorporating in my morning routine an hour or so of browsing through endless bridal blogs, pinterest boards, portfolios…you name it! All in the name of “research”, but doing it for the pure pleasure of it 🙂
This is how my little secret obsession began: My falling in love with BHLDN… (pronounced be-hol-den); which in turn had a huge effect on the design process for the entire bridal jewelry collection and vision for our magazines.
You’ll know what I mean when you see our 3rd magazine in a minute.
And so, funny enough…here I was, thinking that I was doing my “job”, enjoying every minute of this creative process, when suddenly out of nowhere somethingvery unexpected happened that got us standing in front of a judge, smiling uncontrollably and reciting our vows all over again 🙂
Talk about manifestation!
Today’s Bridal Magazine (and the two Necklaces featured in it), are a smalltribute to BHLDN, and the beauty, holistic-ness, dreams and endless possibilities I felt every time I explored its world.
As with all our bridal magazines, I poured as much love, time and dedication as I know, and hope you enjoy the beautiful results.
