Our Spring Floral Collection!
Happy Tuesday everyone!
I’m SO excited about today’s post! It took me a while but had a great time creating every aspect of it.
Everything was fun: Designing and making the floral jewelry (I hadn’t felt this good creatively in a while!). I knew the kind of photos I wanted to take and loved brainstorming ideas for how to make them happen. And finally working with our (BEAUTIFUL!) model, Madelin Beattie, was just awesome. From beginning to end, this was such a labor of love and it felt soooo good.
The only part that isn’t feeling as perfect is writing this introduction for the post. After all this imagining, visualizing and doing, I don’t know what to say that will match the feelings and energy around these beautiful floral jewelry pieces. So that feels a bit disappointing, but then again, this is not about WORDS. This is about art, about spring, about re-birth, romance, nature, authenticity, BEAUTY and yes, about jewelry too. So, how about I stop right here 🙂
— > Special thanks to our beautiful model, Madelin Beattie. Madelin is one of the most hardworking young girls I know. She is also an artist, and someone who embodies so much of what I wanted to convey. (Thank you Madelin!).
Anyway. Enjoy!

FLORAL JEWELRY SET # 1
The night before I began working on this necklace, I had a dream.
My youngest sister recently got married, and because of lack of time (and all kinds of other excuses), I wasn’t able to make something special for her wedding day (which, to be honest, made me feel a little bit guilty). In this dream, my sister Vanessa was wearing a GORGEOUS floral necklace that, I think, looked like this. So that was it! I woke up in the middle of the night and drew the sketch right away.
The details themselves (the kinds and shapes of the flowers) were not very clear from the dream. So, I used a lot of inspiration from some of my favorite floral arrangements I found on pinterest.
"HELLO SPRING"
FLORAL JEWELRY SET # 2
I know we have a good amount of german and austrian friends here. So to you, the name is pretty obvious I’m sure! 😉
“Fruehling” is the german word for Spring. I couldn’t call this set any other name. I love this german word. “Frueh” means “early”, referring to the beginning of something. And this is exactly how I feel about everything in life.
After last years’ US elections, and other unexpected turn of events, I feel that, if there is any time to reframe our mind into a positive place, it’s now. This is why I love nature so much. Spring always comes. No matter how dark or cold the winter has been. It always comes back. Unconditionally, refreshed, renewed and as beautiful and optimistic as ever.
So, that’s it. That’s what I’m hoping to convey with this set 🙂
"The language of the heart"
FLORAL JEWELRY SET # 3
I ADORE this necklace so much! And the earrings! They turned out to be so much more than what I envisioned in my mind.
This is one of those art pieces that became in the creating of it. In most cases, the idea in my head looks as beautiful as it possibly can. The creation process will sometimes match the vision, but not always. In this case it was the whole opposite.
Besides being a statement necklace, like its sisters, it’s incredibly LIGHT in weight, and uniquely sturdy and strong. I absolutely love it. The light pink roses are unmistakably bridal-perfect. And Madelin (our model) looked stunning with it. Absolutely stunning.
During a TV interview (which I hope to share with you soon!), I was asked to explain the thinking behind my floral/bridal jewelry. Yes, it’s beautiful they said. But is there anything else that people may not know?
The inspiration for my first floral/bridal statement necklace, came from my own wedding experience.
I had a gorgeous flower crown and a beautiful bouquet. After our wedding, like many brides, I did my best to preserve both as a reminder of our day. Well. It didn’t work out so well (there are several youTube videos on how to do that, but none of them worked for me).
This is how my crown looks today:
It’s brown and crumbling. It doesn’t look nice. At all. My bouquet became un-savable. It went into the trash only 2 years after our wedding.
So, what’s special about my pieces? Well. My floral jewelry allows my brides to preserve the beauty of their wedding day by taking inspiration from their own bouquet of flowers, crown or flower arrangements. They get to wear something absolutely stunning during the wedding celebration, that can be then preserved as an art-piece in a gorgeous shadow box forever and ever.
That’s it for today!
If you’ve enjoyed this, or you have any questions or comments, let me know below and I’ll reply as quickly as I can (I’d love to know!).
Stay well, stay happy and stay healthy. And let us all wish for a beautiful 2017 filled with expansion and growth for us all!!

So Beautiful. Your pieces of art always are!
Hello Veruschka. Wow! Everything is stunning. All of it. The earrings are precious! Are they going to be available for sale? Also, are your pieces going to be available in Portland anytime soon? WE WANT YOUR WORKS! I know several polymer clay lovers like me, and we all follow what you do <3
Beautiful work! Just beautiful!
Veruschka! You did it again! Outstanding! Just beautiful. I mean. There are no words. You know what I LOVE about your pieces? I’m an avid polymer clay lover. I follow the works of several great artist like yourself. But you manage to do something that I haven’t seen elsewhere with your floral pieces. Like real life flowers, yours are imperfectly perfect. Every leaf, every petal is roughly gorgeous. That’s how real flowers are! No two are alike. I see that many artist create very nice floral pieces, but misunderstand this about nature. Nature is imperfect in the most perfect way. Congratulations. I LOVE IT ALL! (Especially #1 and #3) 🙂
Thanks so much Joanne! It means so much that you notice that about my pieces. You’re right. Nature is “imperfectly PERFECT”.
BEAUTIFUL! OUTSTANDING!
Thanks so much, mom! Your support means everything <3
It’s exciting to see you creating gorgeous bridal floral jewelry again – SO intricate and beautiful!
Thank you very much, Peg! It has been a while for sure. Sometimes time is the only thing that can renew our mind to feel inspired again. So happy you like them. Also, congrats on your BEAUTIFUL art!
