Belle 3 – Stunning Bolivian Jewelry Art
Happy 2017 my beautiful friend!
This is my very first post of the year, and I couldn’t be more excited to start it all out with stunning jewelry art, designed and made in my own home-country of Bolivia, South America by an incredible Bolivian Artist, Birgit Ellefsen.
It’s been a long while since I’ve featured a jewelry artist in my blog. The reason being that I do NOT take your time and trust for granted, ever! So, if I’m going to share someone else’s work, it has to be absolutely fantastic and worth your trust.
And this is exactly how I feel about Birgit’s art-jewelry work.
I’m currently spending my last holiday week at home in Bolivia, South America.
My family lives in a beautiful city called Cochabamba. However Birgit is located in our capital of La Paz (an incredible city by the way!). My husband and I happened to have a business meeting in La Paz last week, and as my luck would have it, Birgit’s Belle 3 Jewelry business is having an exclusive exhibit within the gorgeous spaces of another one of my favorite La Paz destinations: Maya McLean a hand & Bolivian crafted ART furniture company, that designs and creates custom furniture art that is absolutely unbelievable!
Birgit and I connected through common friends here in Bolivia (her younger sister and brother graduated high-school with my own younger brother!…talk about a small world!). Despite the incredible talent that exists in Bolivia, it is unfortunately still unusual to see a bolivian jewelry artist getting recognition and market support. Birgit and I are one of the few exceptions, and this is why we felt we had to connect somehow.
Birgit is a Jewelry Designer and Art Historian. She designs incredible pieces that are handcrafted by Andean artisans in Sterling Silver with Andean gems and fine Swiss glass, each piece with a high finish quality.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t prepared for this beautiful exhibit. So all my pictures were taken only with my iPhone. Please forgive my sleepy face too! La Paz’s altitude makes me look a little funny and feel a little tired 🙂
I adored this beautiful necklace. The finish was outstanding. Super light, and very detailed.
The following pictures were taken by Belle 3, and do much more justice to Birgit’s work than my pictures. Enjoy!

I’m a BIG believer in abundance! I believe in women supporting each other, and I believe we all benefit from the light that we each shine out to the world. It’s an honor to share Birgit’s work with you, and I would love for you to support her as well if her creations resonate with your Soul.
I’m very excited about this 2017! I’ll be returning to the US very soon, and can’t wait to connect with you over the next 12 months with the best I can do.
Stay well, stay happy and stay healthy. And let us all wish for a beautiful 2017 filled with expansion and growth for us all!!
