NEW! Simple, Shiny & Colorful

I’ve been wanting to create a very simple collection for a very long time. Simple but fun. Simple but colorful. Simple and very shiny!

If you’ve been following VeruDesigns for a while, you know that simple is not the norm. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t love simplicity. There are many motivations behind the creation of my jewelry. Many times it’s an exercise to figure out new ways of having fun while working with clay and challenging my own boundaries as an Artist. Sometimes it’s about exploring a complex idea that seems very exciting in my head but needs to be tested.  But sometimes, like this time, I just want to make something that is pretty for the sake of pretty-ness. That’s it. Something small, simple, modern, fun, elegant, shiny and very pretty.

And here are the first 2 sets that are just that!

Diane’s Light – Set of Necklace & Bracelet

Our first set of necklace and bracelet was inspired by one of Diane von Fustenberg‘s designs of her 2012 Spring/Summer collection.

I loved the full collection (which you can see by clicking here). It’s a lovely balancing act of playing with a strong neon-yellow, that can only be accomplished with the calming help of whites, greys, tans and black. The color element brings the spark to an otherwise neutral piece of necklace.

The matching bracelet is as delicate as the necklace, with an adjustable goldish-metal base that makes it a perfect fit no matter the size of your wrist.

Delicate, very light, elegant, with a tiny bit of a spark. Just perfect.

Wit & Delight – Set of Necklace & Bracelet

Our second set of necklace and bracelet was inspired by some of Ashley Goldberg’s beautiful graphic designs. You can see many more of Ashley’s works here.

The Wit & Delight necklace was meant to capture the aliveness of Ashley’s artwork, and the modern and happy tone they carry in themselves.

It’s impossible not feel happy after browsing her website!

Both the bracelet and necklace are so beautiful to look at. I tried this set with several tops and blouses, some super casual, others a bit more elegant. No matter what, this set finished the look making me feel ready for the day no matter what is in the agenda.

I normally have a hard time getting comfortable in front of the camera, but you can tell I was a pretty happy camper this time around 🙂

The full collection was introduced at our recent exhibit in the museum space of the Cosmopolitan Club, and I’m sorry to say that these two sets are the only ones left of this exact design. All the others sold out. However these two are currently in our online shop, in case you’d like to have a closer look!

But this is only “Part 1” of this collection! In two weeks I’ll be sharing our awesome set of mega-bracelets, similar in style but with a very bold and unique design.
