Our FREE Prizes revealed!
Two weeks ago I announced the winners of our very first FREE GIVE-AWAY of 2016, and today I share the 3 shoe-earrings (normally starting at $90 each) that were custom designed for each of our winners based on a shoe-inspiration picture of their choice.
By the way! We’re going to be hosting another free-give away soon again. So, make sure to subscribe to VeruDesigns to participate (that’s right, our free give-aways are only for our e-mail subscribers). If you’re not part of our family of friends, just enter your first name and e-mail below and join the party!
Winner # 1:
Our first winner is Bonita Buchanan from Boonsboro, MD! Boni’s custom shoe-earrings were particularly special. Let me share a bit of the story behind these shoes in Boni’s own words:
“I am attaching a photo of a pair of purple suede and leather shoes that belonged to my mother. They probably date from the 1940’s. I love these shoes and have held onto them for many years. She bought them when she got her first job and paycheck from a prestigious department store in Danville, VA. I would be honored if you would make them into a small pair of earrings to treasure forever.”
I cannot tell you how much I loved the story behind Boni’s inspiration idea, because it reflects perfectly what VeruDesigns is all about and why it is different from anything else out there. Where else can you commission a small wearable piece of art that pays tribute to something, someone you love, or inspires you? Ot something that truly speaks of your unique personality?
The earrings are slightly bigger than half and inch (1.4 cm), incredibly cute (even cuter than the pictures show!) and very light. Even though the design looks simple, it was quite complex to create the lovely details in such a small scale.

Winner # 2:
Our second winner is Penny Lutz from Williamsport, PA. Which is just amazing to me: For those of you who don’t know, VeruDesigns moved last year from our center city Philadelphia jewelry studio to an Artist & Entrepreneur complex called “The Pajama Factory” in Williamsport, PA (3 hours north-west from Philadelphia). The likelihood of having a winner from our new hometown was so small, that I really feel that Penny was meant to be one of our winners!
The earrings are slightly bigger than half and inch (1.4 cm), very light and soooo adorable.

Winner # 3:
Our third winner is Maria Stathi-Soto from beautiful Athens, Greece! A reminder that our VeruDesigns family spreads all over the world!
Maria’s inspiration idea was probably the most complicated of the three. Given the scale, I’m very happy with how they turned out. What do you think?

I’ll be reaching out to our 3 winners again later this week! Our US winners are scheduled to have their beautiful earrings shipped on Friday of this week. We still need to figure out how long the shipping will take for Maria 🙂 In the meantime, their tiny shoes are enjoying the company of their sister shoes in our tiny Shoe Boutique.
I would LOVE to read your thoughts/comments/questions in the comment section below.
Stay well, stay happy and stay healthy. See you in two weeks !!

How awesome and incredibly kind of you to make these lovely earrings that look just like my mom’s shoes, I will treasure them forever! Thanks so much. ~Bonita
Great job…I love all 3 pairs but partial to Bonita’s… one of my favorite colors…on the other hand I can really appreciate the challenge posed with Maria’s shoes…I would love to own the originals…classic yet unusual styling…looking forward to the next Give-away…Thanks for sharing my quote…
I just want to say how much I also loved the quotes you shared this morning in your newsletter. I loved them all and really needed them apparently. Joey’s mom sounds like an amazing woman. And Ceci SN’s awareness of the beauty in each day were just what I needed to hear. Thank you.
I also love all 3 earrings, but having a sweet spot for the 1940’s and 50’s, I can’t help but LOVE Maria’s shoes. So lovely and so tiny! Amazing. Can’t wait for the next give-away!
I love all three pairs of shoes, but for some reason I cannot get over the cuteness of Bonis and Penny’s tiny shoes. How adorable are they!!!! And how lucky. Tp be owning the one and only pair of earrings of these designs!
Hello Veruschka. I just forwarded your newsletter to a few very good friends. They’ve been asking me about my verudesigns earrings and I finally told them my secret (you). They are hoping for another free give away soon! (as am I). 🙂
I looove all three pair of shoe earrings. They are each so different from each other, and you managed to make such a beautiful version of each. I can only imagine what they look like in person. Probably the cutest thing I’d ever see! Love, love, love it! I’m excited to get my own custom earrings in a few days!
